    , typed letter on Denishawn School of Dancing letterhead signed to a former student Claire Coutant with a nice note that a dancer "can hope to have the privilege of saying his own message," 1 page, 8 ¼ by 10 ½ inches, in very good condition (there are folds from mailing and a pin hole in the top of the letter).
    Ted Shawn and Ruth St. Denis were among the first and best modern dancers in the early 20th century.
