Vivian I Simonds was a Hawaiian guitarist, singer and performer from Lynn MA. She was a fan of Walter Huston and struck up a correspondence with him in the 1930s when the play Dodsworth (later a film) was on Broadway and later travelled to Boston and elsewhere.
For offer here is a letter from Huston to Vivian, hand written and signed by him in pen, along with the envelope she received it in. Also included is the page from the playbill with Huston's credit for the performance of Dodsworth she attended in Boston.
