E M Holland(American Comedian) Signed Letter .  E. M. Holland  (b. 1838 -d. 1913) . He began his career at Barnum's Museum in 1866. He became a member of Wallack's company in which he played several successful pieces until 1880. He was engaged in 1882 at the Madison Square Garden and among his characters that followed were Captain Redwood in Jim the Penman, Old Roger's in Esmeralda and more. From 1903 to 1906 he played Captain Bedford in Raffles. He joined the New Theatre Company in 1909 and remained a member till 1911.
